APPROACH
Depth-oriented, highly personalized, and deeply collaborative.
Emma's work blends eastern philosophies with western science, and the clinical with the artistic, creating a highly personalized process that supports deep internal shifts alongside meaningful external change.
HOW THE WORK IS DONE
Modalities & Methods
01
Psychodynamic & Psycho-Spiritual
Psychodynamic work explores how early experiences, relational patterns, and unconscious processes shape how we show up today — while psycho-spiritual inquiry sees all experience as a source of wisdom and provides a way of navigating life with both resilience and possibility.
02
Jungian Shadow Work & IFS / Parts Work
These complementary modalities work with the inner landscape as multiplicity — the idea that we are comprised of many selves. Shadow work helps reveal the parts of ourself that we fail to see or know — our shame but also our gold. While Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches the many inner parts with curiosity rather than conflict — accessing a deeper ‘Self’ capable of genuine leadership and lasting healing.
03
Mindfulness & Contemplative Practice
Drawing on Buddhist philosophy (primarily Tibetan and Zen) as well as western mindfulness practices, this work cultivates the capacity to be present with what is — including what is difficult — without immediately reacting or suppressing. Contemplative practice creates space between stimulus and response, allowing for more conscious choice and a steadier relationship with the mind.
04
Strength-Based & Creative Coaching
For those navigating creative work, artistic identity, or professional transitions, coaching focuses on unlocking intuition, removing creative blocks, and overcoming imposter syndrome. Emma's background as a designer and artist shapes a uniquely embodied approach to creative development. Together with practical tools, this work moves through resistance and self-sabotage with momentum and clarity.
05
Embodiment & Somatics
The body is understood as a source of wisdom, not just sensation. Somatic work attends to what lives below the neck — sensation, posture, breath, gesture — as primary information about what is happening internally. Drawing on nervous system regulation, polyvagal theory, and certified yoga training, this work supports a more embodied relationship with the self, helping the system find safety, capacity, and a fuller range of response.
06
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT works directly with emotional experience as the primary driver of change. Rather than managing feelings from a distance, we learn to access, explore, and transform the emotions that underlie stuck patterns. By distinguishing surface reactions from the deeper feelings beneath them, we meet what is true with care — creating new, more flexible ways of being, relating, and responding to the moments that have long felt overwhelming.
07
Multicultural & Decolonizing
This work recognizes that culture, race, gender, class, and history shape the inner landscape as much as personal experience does. A decolonizing lens questions the assumptions embedded in traditional psychology — its individualism, its western frame, its blindness to systemic forces — and makes room for the wisdom traditions, communal ways of knowing, and lived realities that other approaches often overlook or pathologize.
08
Relational
Healing happens in relationship. A relational approach treats what unfolds between therapist and client as central — the patterns that surface in real time, the trust that builds, the small ruptures that get repaired. These moments offer something different from talking about your life from a distance: a felt experience of being seen, met, and held by another, which becomes a template for relationship beyond the room.
THE EXPERIENCE
What 1:1 Sessions Are Like
Sessions are 50 minutes and meet weekly, or more frequently for intensive work. The relationship we build over time is itself part of what heals.
Emma is present, warm, and direct. She will reflect things back to you, offer perspectives you may not have considered, and name what she notices.
Each session is shaped by what is most alive for you — a situation from the current week, a block, trigger, or pattern. What seems small is often the gateway to somewhere significant.
Emma often guides clients into tailored meditative or visualization-based exercises designed to help you discover the unconscious parts of yourself keeping you stuck and move through them in real time. Helping you connect to your intuition, self-esteem, motivation, and personal power in new and transformative ways.
